Description 1:
“Strange and pleasurable pop-up junk playground for all ages”

Build full-size structures to inhabit or small-scale models to slip away into utopian dreams.

Come along any time – An “artist” will be in residence 11ish-4ish Thursdays through Sundays but this is on public land so you are welcome to hang out and make any time!

Description 2:
Come along and use a whole lot of materials foraged from Auckland Suburban Renovations and Home Improvements to build an ever-growing, omni-kinetic community shelter made of free and local materials where anyone could hang out, sleep, shelter from elements, and bump up against new experiences and friends.

This is an invitation and opportunity to experiment, imagine, debate, and prototype how we might do housing differently in Auckland in a way that is kind to the living world and generous to you, too.

(NOTE: this “playground” is also known as “an invitation to think about Auckland housing differently” by Xin Cheng and Chris Berthelsen and is the Shelter part of TEMP at Corban Estate Arts Centre)
